Czy żyjąc w takim stylu, do jakiego przywykliśmy jeszcze jesteśmy jakimś znakiem w tym świecie? Z pewnością tak, ale czy zawsze i wszędzie? Czy nasze priorytety zawsze są ewangeliczne? Czy istotnie, podstawowym kryterium w ustalaniu priorytetów jest wyróżniające nas, Marianów pragnienie iść tam gdzie Kościół znajduje się w największych trudnościach [...] gdzie Chrystus jest mniej znany, albo nawet znienawidzony? (por. Idea przewodnia i duch Zgromadzenia, 18). Tematyka Kapituły Generalnej 1999 Tematy do rozważenia na Kapitule powinny być przedstawione przez całą naszą wspólnotę. Niektóre z nich już się wyłoniły podczas Konwentu Generalnego. Napisałem o nich szerzej w poprzednim liście okólnym z 7 listopada br. Teraz proszę, by nowe propozycje zagadnień do omówienia na Kapitule Generalnej zostały nadesłane w miarę możności najprędzej do końca kwietnia, umożliwiając opracowanie ich w postaci - o ile to będzie możliwe - instrumentum laboris. Oczywiście, kwestie wniesione (w sposób zgodny z procedurą kapituły) przez poszczególnych delegatów podczas trwania Kapituły także będą przedmiotem jej obrad. Przyjęty przez poprzednie kapituły Generalne sposób porządkowania tematyki przewiduje następujące zakresy spraw: de natura et aposto- who have gone there, witness the power of the Holy Spirit giving a new birth to the Church. Our place And we...? Where are we in this world? What are our greatest joys and concerns? Are they the joys and concerns of the builders of the Kingdom? The way we have become accustomed to live are we still a sign in this world? Certainly yes, but is it true always and in all places? Are our priorities always Gospel-minded? Can we say for certain that our basic criteria for selecting apostolic priorities remains specifically Marian, manifested by our longing to go where the Church encounters the greatest difficulties [...] where Christ is least known, or even hated? (cf. General Idea of the Congregation and its Spirit, 18.). Themes of the 1999 General Chapter Matters for Chapter deliberations should be presented by our whole community. Some have already surfaced during the last General Convention. I have written more on the subject in the previous circular letter of October 7th. Now I invite you to send new proposals for the Chapter deliberations, and do so at the latest, by the end of April, thus allowing for a preparation of an instrumentum laboris type of document, if possible. Obviously, matters raised by individual delegates during the Chapter sessions will be discussed in accordance with chapter procedures. As approved by former general chapters, the matters for deliberation will be arranged according to the
