Decreta Ordinationes

Rzecz jasna, spraw do omówienia jest dear to our Father Founder and especially to our Blessed Renovator; it means some kind of a link to the traditional Marian confraternities, to the scapularand other forms of cooperation with the laity. This should not be left to intuition and circumstances, to the effect of principles of social psychology and to the guessing of needs; there must be here some kind of pedagogy of faith as well as setting in motion those human reserves of apostolic forces, which God entrusts to us. Our Congregation should obtain an outline of action in this domain from the General Chapter. The directives should not be limited to suggestions and organizational instructions, although these may also be necessary; the cooperation should not be limited exclusively to material support in Marian works (though in certain measure, it may and must be given), but it must go in the direction of their participation in the spirituality of the Congregation and of deepening their faith life. E. Religious Brothers in our Congregation. The problem of Brothers in our Congregation was outlined at the General Conventus in three pronouncements, which exhort us to deepen this question at the General Chapter and to draw concrete conclusions from the analyses conducted. The Exhortation, Vita consecrata, directs attention to this matter. We find here an echo of a very wide discussion by the Synodal Fathers on the theme of the place and participation of Brothers in the Institutes that are defined as "mixed" (cf. nn. 60-61).
