Także poszczególnych Współbraci proszę, by włączając się w przygotowanie Kapituły przekazywali nam swoje sugestie odnoszące się do przedstawionych tu problemów jak również do innych spraw, które uważają za ważne. Przypomniałem tu zagadnienia wysunięte na Konwencie Generalnym. Kapituła może i powinna pójść dalej i głębiej. Podejmijmy więc refleksję nad określeniem tematycznego profilu Kapituły. Do tej sprawy powrócę, w liście zwołującym Kapitułę. Podczas Kapituły jej uczestnicy stają przed koniecznością zajmowania stanowiska wobec problemów trudnych i ważnych. Ponieważ wtedy brak czasu i warunki nie sprzyjają pogłębionemu studiowaniu zagadnień, których dotyczą decyzje, wielką pomocą a tym samym wkładem w dobro wspólne Zgrmadzenia będzie wykonanie tej pracy wcześniej. Wyobrażam sobie to w formie następującej: zwięzły projekt uchwały kapitulnej, ewentualnie kilka jego ujęć, rzeczowe uzasadnienie odwołujące się do przesłanek teologicznych, kanonicznych, do tradyqi Kościoła i tradycji mariańskiej, do doświadczenia naszych wspólnot, potrzeb, braków, a może i do doświadczeń innych wspólnot synodal committee was set up, which was intended to examine and resolve the problems regarding this matter. In order to make appropriate decisions we must wait for the results of its work, but we must prepare for these decisions in the spirit of Bl. Father George. Let us notice that in our Congregation we have seen many vocations for religious Brothers (at least in certain countries), but out of those who joined us, not many have remained. Why does this happen? Taking as a starting point the considerations raised at the Conventus, we mustpresent to the Chapter the proposals based on a solid discernment of the practice of the Church and of our charism and experience. I believe, that these proposals should have reference to the criteria used in the discernment of vocations, of the formation of Brothers, of the tasks to which Brothers are supposed to prepare themselves and also of the juridical situation of brothers in our Community. These are the matters that the Conventus proposed to be discussed at the Chapter. Obviously, there are more matters to be discussed. For example, under the direction of the General Promoter of Missions a document is being prepared that is to define the status and principles of action for our missions. Therefore, I invite the Provinces, the Vice-province and the Vicariates to set up working groups, whose purpose will be to prepare suggestions for the 1999 General Chapter.
