-717się one czasem do spraw zupełnie różnych, choć wiele z nich zdaje się mieć character czysto organizacyjny, czy nawet wręcz techniczny, to jednak w nich wszystkich dochodzi do głosu kilka wspólnych idei przewodnich. Dodam, że wielu z nas było mile zaskoczonych tym, że tak łatwo i tak dobrze mogliśmy się właśnie co do tych istotnych idei porozumieć. Z nich zresztą wynikają i z nich czerpią swój sens polecenia praktyczne. CHARYZMAT, DUCHOWOŚĆ, TOŻSAMOŚĆ Kapituła nie przejawiała chęci dokonywania zmian w Konstytucjach i Dyrektorium, ani też nie starała się ich ulepszać. Nasze ustawy zatwierdzone dekretem Stolicy Apostolskiej 25 marca 1986 roku były punktem odniesienia dla wszystkich poczynań tego czcigodnego zgromadzenia. Starano sie lepiej je zrozumieć, wnikliwiej odczytać, uchwycić ich sens w kontekście aktualnych wyzwali. W ten sposób rozważano problem mariańskiego charyzmatu, mariańskiej duchowości i tożsamoci. Z radością należy stwierdzić, że podejmowane od wielu lat przez naszych teologów wysiłki zmierzające do jasnego określenia mariańskiego charyzmatu nie poszły na marne. Nie wracano bowiem do kwestii opracowanych już przez poprzednie kapituły. Postulaty w dziedzinie, o której mowa zmierzają do pogłębienia naszej samoświadomości. I tak, jako jedno z priorytetowych zadań na najbliższe sześciolecie uznano opubli- dear Brothers, to a few essential traits which characterize all these documents. Although these apparently regard sometimes completely different matters, and many of them seem to be purely organizational, if not simply technical in character, yet in all of them several common key ideas come to the surface. I will add that many of us are pleasantly surprised by the fact that we could come to an understanding precisely on these basic ideas so easily and so well. From them, after all, practical recommendations arise and from them they draw their sense. CH ARISM, SPIRTTU ALITY, IDENTITY The Chapter did not manifest a willingness to make changes in the Constitutions and Directory, nor did it try to improve them. Our laws, approved by a decree of the Holy See of March 25, 1986, were a point of reference for all the undertakings of this August gathering. There was an effort to understand them better, to read them out with greater insight, to catch their sense in the context of actual challenges. In this way the problem of the Marian charism, of the Marian spirituality and identity was being considered. It should be noted with joy that the efforts undertaken for many years by our theologians to define more clearly the Marian charism, were not wasted, since there was no going back to the questions that had been already elaborated by former Chapters.
