Przy okazji naszego patronalnego święta chciałbym podzielić się spostrzeżeniami dotyczącymi tego, jak obecnie przeżywamy nasze powołanie. Nie zamierzam składać szczegółowego sprawozdania. Skupię się raczej na tych spostrzeżeniach, które są, jak wierzę, szczególnie dla nas ważne i godne rozważenia przez całe Zgromadzenie. 4. Nosimy imię "Marianów od Niepokalanego Poczęcia". Wskazuje ono na naszą szczególną tożsamość i misję w naśladowaniu Maryi Niepokalanie Pocztej (por. K 6). Jak wspomniałem wyżej, nasze imię - podobnie jak imię naszej Patronki - oznacza, że mamy być bezwarunkowym "tak" na Boże wezwanie, że mamy być otwarci na Jego wolę i zawsze wsłuchiwać się w nią, oraz że mamy oddać się do dyspozyqi Kościoła, szczególnie tam, gdzie jest największa potrzeba. Przyglądając się naszemu Zgromadzeniu w różnych częściach świata mogę z pełnym przekonaniem powiedzieć, że rzeczywistość naszego życia i pracy odzwierciedla naszą tożsamość i misję. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc nasi współbracia poważnie traktują swe osobiste życie duchowe i wierność powołaniu. Są pracowici i oddani ludziom, którym służą. Są też wierni Magisterium Kościoła i w swych działaniach popierają autentyczną wykładnię wiary. W czasie rozmów przeprowadzonych w ramach wizytacji dawali oni wyraz swe- any reflection on our vocation: Is there something more that we can do to be more effective witnesses to Christ? Are there any elements in our religious life that need correction or renewal so that our witness may be more compelling? On the occasion of our patronal feast, I would like to share some of my observations regarding the way in which our vocation is being lived at this time. The following is not intended to be a detailed recounting. Rather, I confine myself to those observations that I believe are particularly important and relevant for consideration by our Congregation at large. 4. We bear the name, "Marians of the Immaculate Conception." Our name indicates a particular identity and mission in imitation of Mary, Immaculately Conceived (cf. C. 6). As I alluded to above, like our Patroness, our name implies that we are to be an unqualified "yes" to God's call, to be open and attentive to His will, and to be at the disposition of the Church, especially where its needs are greatest. As I look to the Congregation in different parts of the world, I believe that I can say with confidence that the reality of our life and work reflects this identity and mission. In general our confreres are serious about their personal spiritual lives and about the integrity of their vowed life. They are generally hardworking and committed to the people that they serve. Our men are faithful to the Magisterium and support the authentic teaching of the Church in their activities. And, in our
