Vita Consecrata, 45). 2. Abbiamo appena celebrato la Festa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo. Gesù ha chiamato Pietro ad essere fondamento della Chiesa, ma al tempo stesso ha lasciato che egli, sperimentando la propria fragilità, capisse quanto più potente delle umane debolezze sia la grazia di Dio. Anche Paolo sulla via di Damasco fu trasformato da persecutore dei cristiani in apostolo delle genti. Come non pensare che, accanto a Gesù, l'apostolo Pietro abbia incontrato la Beata Vergine? Ci fu un giorno, soprattutto, che Pietro e gli apostoli vis- sześcioleciu. Idźcie dalej tą drogą! Piotra powołał Pan Jezus na to, ażeby stał się fundamentem Kościoła, jednocześnie jednak pozwolił, by Piotr poprzez doświadczenie własnych słabości zrozumiał, o ile bardziej od słabości człowieka potężniejsza jest łaska Boża. Także Paweł na drodze do Damaszku został przemieniony z prześladowcy chrześcijan na apostoła narodów.
