NASZE ŻYCIE ZAKONNE I EWANGELIZACJA Charyzmat, duchowość, tożsamość Zgromadzenia nie są rzeczywistością statyczną. Żyjąca i ożywiana duchem Bożym wspólnota rośnie i się pogłębia. Dlatego przywiązujemy tak ogromną wagę do wskazań Ojca Świętego udzielonych nam podczas audiencji, zarówno dla członków kapituły poprzedniej, jak i obecnej. "Nowi ubodzy", "młodzież" to wskazane nam przez Ojca Świętego pola szczególnego zaangażowania. Wszystko zaś cokolwiek robimy ma być odpowiedzią na wyzwania nowych czasów. Odpowiedzią tą ma być, owszem, maryjna pobożność, "ale także program, oraz ogarniający wszystko ideał życia jak również działalności duszpasterskiej". Jan Paweł II zarysował przed nami główne linie tego programu. Rekapitulując ten rozdział przemówienia wypowiedział następujące słowa, tak bardzo doniosłe i ważne: "Silnie zakorzenieni w waszej tradycji a jednocześnie odważnie bacząc na wymogi obecnego czasu dalej prowadźcie właściwe wam apostolstwo, które dobrze się wpisuje w kontekst nowej ewangelizacji, o którą się troszczy cały lud Boży. Bądźcie przeto apostołami Bożego those whom the Father has given us should perish; that no one would ever leave us disappointed that he had not found a community in our midst! Let us also remember that a good exchange of information about the life of particular local communities is one of factors that creates fraternal bond. Therefore I heartily ask you: let us share with others the content of our life. OUR RELIGIOUS LIFE AND EVANGELIZATION The charis m, spirituality and identity of the Congregation are not static realities. The community that is alive and quickened by the spirit of God grows and acquires greater depth. It is for this reason that we attach so much importance to the directives imparted to us by the Holy Father, as was done during the audience granted to the members of the former Chapter and of the latest one. "New poor, youth": these are the fields indicated by the Holy Father for our special engagement, while it is true that whatever we do should be a response to the challenges of the present time. This response is to consist, indeed, of our devotion to Mary, "but also of a program and of an all-embracing ideal of life and of pastoral activity as well". John Paul II traced before us the main lines of this program. Summing up this section of his allocution, he pronounced the following words, of great moment and importance: "strongly rooted in your tradition, and yet courageously attentive to the requirements of our present age, continue to
