W czasie lotu poprzez Atlantyk do Rzymu pilot odrzutowca "Jumbo", w którym lecieliśmy, przemówił do pasażerów dla dodania im otuchy i dla wyrażenia swego uznania wobec wyboru przez nich tej właśnie linii lotniczej. Wspomniał on przy tym, że samolot ten posiadał przyrząd automatyczny, który był w stanie bezbłędnie poprowadzić samolot do jakiegokolwiek punktu na świecie, stanowiącego cel podróży.
