V. Mariae deponamus, ab eadem pro suo beneplacito distribuenda in favorem animarum purgatorii. Hia, sine dubio, pro sua prudentia et materna sollicitudine melius cognoscet, quam nos ipsi, quibus praeprimis animabus illae satisfactiones sint applicandae" (Instructiones Marianorum, XVI, n. 10) ("Wielce jest zalecane, abyśmy tego rodzaju dzieła zadość- czyniące, odpusty i dobre uczynki mające wartość przebłagalną składali w ręce Najświętszej Maryi Panny, tak by ona według swego uznania rozdzielała je na korzyść dusz czyśćcowych. Ona bez wątpienia, dzięki swej roztropności i matczynej trosce lepiej będzie wiedziała, niż my sami, którym duszom przede wszystkim tymi zadośćuczynieniami należy pomóc").
