J ULY 93 — BrotherANTHONYDE LUIS MEIRELES , age 66; in 1844, he was still residing in Balsamão. Prior to this time, the following served as superiors: from 1781, Father VINCENT of the PRESENTATION of THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY ; and from 1830, Father CASIMIR of SAINT JOSEPH . In 2003, Father ANTHONY PAPUŻYŃSKI (Pa-poo-zhinski) died in Malbork. He was a religious for 46 years and a priest for 36. He served in Licheń, Marymont, Fawley Court, and Slough. He spent the last five years of his life outside the community for health reasons. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ cemetery in Henley-on-Thames, alongside his mother. J uly 14 At the moment of suppression of the house of Algoso, Portugal, the following were in residence: — Father FRANCIS of the PURIFICATION of THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY , superior; — Father GREGORY of SAINT VINCENT , previously superior in Balsa- mão; — Father ANDREW of SAINT GREGORY ; — Father MANUEL JOACHIM DAS DORES MOURA ; — Father MANUEL of SAINT RITATEIXEIRA . We have no further knowledge of these Portuguese Marians, nor of the dates of their death. J uly 15 On July 15, 2012, Father AUGUSTINE STEIGVILAS , a Lithuanian-born member of the Argentine Vicariate, died in the Marian house in Rosario, Argentina, at the age of nearly 88. He was a religious for nearly 55 years and a priest for almost 63. Prior to joining our community, he served in various parishes in Germany and then studied in Rome. On Sept. 15, 1956, he joined our Congregation and made his first vows a year later. In January 1958, he assumed pastoral duties inArgentina. He is buried in Rosario. J uly 16 On July 16, 1816, Father FAUSTUS GANS , a Czech by birth, died at the age of 54 at the Góra Kalwaria monastery. He was Assistant of the Order and president of the monastery. It was due to his untiring efforts that the construction of the monastery was completed. An expert in economic matters, he exhibited great solic- itude for the common good. He is buried in Góra Kalwaria.
