† A LBUM OF THE D ECEASED F ATHERS AND B ROTHERS † 86 J une 23 On June 23, 1974, Father JOHN BALTRUŠAITIS , a member of the American Province of St. Casimir, died in Chicago at the age of 64. He was a reli- gious for 46 years and a priest for 34. He was a missionary in Argentina for several years. He is buried in the section reserved for the Marians in St. Casimir’s cemetery in Chicago. In 2010, Father CASIMIR JANKIEWICZ (Yan-k’evitch) died at our reli- gious house in Licheń. He was a religious for 56 years and a priest for 47. He served as the director of vocations and a provincial councilor of the Polish Province, and later was elected a general councilor. Next, he worked pastorally in Poland and then, in 1998, was transferred to Great Britain, where he was the house superior in Lon- don-Ealing and editor of the Messenger of Mercy magazine. He is buried in Licheń. J une 24 On June 24, 1780, Father AUGUSTINE ŁAGOTTA (Wa-gotta) died at the Góra Kalwaria monastery. He was a lector of philosophy for 5 years. He is buried in Góra Kalwaria. In 1830, ADAM RATKOWSKI (Rat-kof-ski), age 50, died at the monastery inMarijampolė. He wore our habit for 23 years and lived at the monastery, but never made his religious profession. He is buried in Marijampolė. J une 25 On June 25, 1982, Father VINCENT SMOLIŃSKI (Smolin’ski), a member of the Polish Province, died in Warsaw at the age of 72. He was a religious for 55 years and a priest for 46. He completed his studies at Warsaw and in Rome. During World War II he was pastor in Druya, then the superior in various houses. He also fulfilled the office of provincial councilor for 18 years. During the last 23 years of his life, he was a member of the house in Warsaw-Praga, confessor in the local parish church and chaplain to religious sisters. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ section of the Wawrzyszew cemetery in Warsaw. J une 26 In 1962, Brother CHESTER KOCIMOWSKI (Ko-chi-mof-ski), a member of the Polish Province, subjected to threats by the secret police of the Communist regime, died tragically at the age of 29 at the house in Bielany, Poland. He was a religious for 4 years. He was a bricklayer and helped with the extension of the church building in Marymont, Warsaw. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ section of the Wawrzyszew cemetery in Warsaw.
