n oVember 11 On November 11, 1794, FatherALOYSIUS DŁUGOŁĘSKI (Dwoo-gowen- ski) died at the monastery in Marijampolė, at the age of 66, where he is buried. In 1848, Father JOSEPHOŁTUSZEWSKI (Ow-tushef-ski), a “Father of the Order,” died at the age of 50 at Biała, where he fulfilled the office of chaplain. He was a religious for 32 years and a priest for 27. Recognized as a man “rich in virtue,” he held the offices of novice master, president, and assistant. He distinguished him- self by his religious observance and devotion and was praised, above all, as one who “both cultivated knowledge and generously imparted it to others.” He is buried in Biała. In 1996, Father CASIMIRWÓJCICKI (Vooy-chi-tski) died at the age of 68. He was a religious for 49 years and a priest for 41. At 17, he entered the Głuchołazy Juniorate, and in 1947 was admitted into the novitiate. Following the profession of vows, he continued his education at Bielany High School, and then at the seminary. As the Marians were expulsed from Bielany, he studied at the seminary in Włocławek where he was also ordained to the priesthood. He served as a catechist, pastor, and house superior in various Marian houses. From 1961 to 1965, he was also the novice master. He was a confessor of religious Sisters, seminarians, and novices. He was marked by faithfulness to the Congregation’s rules, poverty, sim- plicity of life, composure, and friendliness. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ sec- tion of the Wawrzyszew cemetery in Warsaw. In 2001, Father LADISLAUS WANAGS (Vah-nags) died at the age of 70 in Gorodok Podilskyi, Ukraine. He was born in 1931 and ordained a priest in 1973 in Riga, Latvia. One year later, he secretly joined our Congregation in Latvia. After two years, he was sent to work in Gorodok, Ukraine. He either recovered from the Communists or built from scratch 19 different churches, a seminary in the Diocese of Kamyanets, and a House of Mercy (a care facility for the elderly). He had an unlimited trust in the Lord, which helped him to overcome many obstacles. He is buried in Gorodok. n oVember 12 On November 12, 2020, Father EUGENIUSZMAKULSKI , a member of the Polish Province died at the hospital in Konin. He was 92 years old, a religious for 71 years and a priest for 65. He served as a vicar in various Polish parishes and stud- ied history at the Catholic University of Lublin, where he wrote a thesis entitled “Devotion to Father Stanislaus Papczyński.” In 1964, he started a research project on the history of devotion to the miraculous image of Our Lady of Licheń.
