n oVember 5 On November 5, 1842, Father EDWARD PAKIETUR , a “Father of the Order,” died at the age of 67, at the residence in Igliaukai. A priest for 41 years, he wasAssistant of the Order and Rector of the church in Igliaukai, where he is buried. In 1977, Father HENRYGOLJAN (Gol’an), a member of the Province of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy in Great Britain, died at the age of 54 in an automobile accident outside of London. He was a religious for 34 years and a priest for 25. Originally he was a member of the Polish Province, exercising pastoral min- istry, and serving as a member of the provincial council and prefect of students. Transferred to England, he became an educator and teacher at the Divine Mercy College at Fawley-Court and at the same time served as its vice-rector for the last eight years of his life. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ cemetery in Henley-on- Thames. Today, on November 5, we remember all the deceased members of the Congregation. The following members were among the last residents of the Miroslavas house. The dates of their deaths are unknown: — Father CASIMIRWITKOWSKI (Vit-kof-ski), born in 1829, who entered the Congregation in 1848.After the dissolution of this house he was forced to go to Marijampolė; — Father MICHAEL STRUPINSKAS , who entered the Congregation in 1858 at the age of 25 and was deported to Marijampolė in 1866; — Father NICHOLAS WOŁĄGIEWICZ (Vo-won-g'e-vich), who entered the Congregation in 1857 at the age of 18, and remained at Miroslavas to serve the church until 1875, when he was deported to Marijampolė.There, he ministered to the Poles and served as treasurer. He left Marijampolė in 1877; — Father VINCENT HRYNIEWICZ (Khrin'evich), chosen by the General Chapter to be vice-president in Miroslavas, was exiled to Siberia in 1864. n oVember 6 On November 6, 1984, Father JOSEPH KUPRIS (known also as Kuprevi- čius), a member of the American Province of St. Casimir, died at the age of 74 in Chicago. He was a religious for 54 years and a priest for 44. He dedicated himself mainly to pastoral ministry, but also served as educator at the Marianapolis Preparatory School, as a local superior and provincial councilor. He is buried in the section reserved for the Marians in St. Casimir’s cemetery in Chicago. n oVember 7 On November 7, 1897, Father STANISLAUS NOSIŃSKI died at the age of 61. He entered the house in Skórzec in 1854 at the age of 18, was ordained a priest N OVEMBER 137
