In 2013, Father ALEKSANDER LUDWIK KARPIŃSKI , a member of the Polish Province, died at the age of 78. He was a religious for 61 years, and a priest for 52. For 44 years he ministered to the Polish community in England, fulfilling, among others, the duties of the youth educator at the Divine Mercy College in Fawley Court, secretary of the English Province, house treasurer and pastor of var- ious Polish communitys. He spent the four last years of his life in Licheń, where he died and is buried. n oVember 3 On November 3, 1932, BRONISLAUS RAUDELIUNAS (Ra-oo-del'unas), a novice, died of tuberculosis at the age of 19 at the house in Marijampolė, where he is buried. In 1999, Father FRANCIS DUDA died in the Mount Marie Nursing Home in Holyoke, Massachusetts, at the age of 90. He was a member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Province in the United States, a religious for 58 years and a priest for 56. He served in pastoral ministry and community administration as superior, councilor, and especially as provincial and house treasurer. He directed the Marian gift shop on Eden Hill with great success, utilizing his talents of creating floral arrangements, selecting religious items, and nature photography. He is buried in the cemetery on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. n oVember 4 On November 4, 1784, after the defeat of the Polish army for which they served as chaplains, two Marians lost their lives in the carnage sustained by the inhabitants of the Warsaw-Praga borough at the hands of the Muscovite forces that invaded Poland: Father FRANCIS KUPRELL , age 57, and Father ALEXANDER JELONEK (Ye-lonek), age 34. They were buried in Grochów, in the common grave for the soldiers. In 1976, Father JOHN GRIBULIS died at the age of 74 in Zapyskis, Lithuania. He was a priest for 41 years. He was a teacher at the school of Marijampolė, but at the outbreak of World War II, left the Congregation. He had been a religious for 13 years.
