In 1972, Father GEORGE KARKLE , a member of the Latvian Province, died at the age of 79. He was a priest for 56 years and a religious for 44. He was the house superior in Rezekne and contributed much to the growth of the Province. He is buried in Ilūkste. In 1973, Brother PETER RAZINSKAS , a member of theAmerican Province of St. Casimir, died at the house in Chicago at the age of 87. He was a religious for 32 years and fulfilled the duties of sacristan and gatekeeper. He is buried in the sec- tion reserved for the Marians in St. Casimir’s cemetery in Chicago. A ugust 17 On August 17, 1779, Brother PETER MARKIEWICZ (Mar-k'e-vich) died and was buried at the monastery in Marijampolė. In 1980, Brother STANISLAUS NICHOLAS BOHOWICZ (Bokho-vich) died at the Belarusian house in London, England, at the age of 76. He was a reli- gious for 54 years. He was transferred from Druya, Belarus, to Harbin, Manchuria, where he labored for 20 years. After the suppression of the Harbin Mission in 1948, he left for Rome and then from 1952 onwards, was a member of the Belarusian house in London, where he fulfilled the duties of a lector, sacristan and gardener. He was known for his diligence and love of poverty. He is buried in St. Pancratius’s cemetery in London. A ugust 18 On August 18, 1719, Father STANISLAUS of SAINT ANN died at the monastery in Goźlin, where he is buried. In 1759, Brother ONUPHRIUS KARSKI died at the age of 72, at the monastery in Berezdov. He was buried in the crypt of the Berezdov church. In 2021, father george ZImInsKI (Zih-min-sky), a member of the Ukrainian General Vicariate died unexpectedly at the age of 61. He was a religious for 39 years and a priest for 27. He fulfilled pastoral duties in various parishes run by theMarians in the Ukraine, working often under difficult conditions. He is buried near the Marian Fathers’ parish church in Kharkov, Ukraine.
