encouraged me to pray, saying tha t not much time was needed, tha t it was possible to unite oneself at any moment w ith God, offering the Heavenly Father the Most Precious Blood o f Jesus Christ and H is merits for oneself and for others. Feeling from our conversation tha t I had a certain interior trouble in connection w ith m y d ifficu lt work, S is ter Faustina explained to me how much good may be done in the spirit o f apostolate, and tha t Jesus would certainly be pleased w ith m y work... I thought these were words o f comfort arising from S is ter F au s tina ’s kindness, and, as i f she understood wha t I was thinking , she added: "Sister, wha t I have sa id was not sa id from m y s e l f . I d id not ask for details, but I understood tha t th is comfort had come for me from Christ through S is ter Faustina... "When in 1938 I lived close to her for two months in our House in Lgiewniki, and I was able to observe her closely, I simp ly thought she was a saint. When I left Cracow after a period o f convalescence, S is ter Faustina was seriously ill and lay in a separate ward. When I sa id farewell, I asked her, i f she died, to remember me and those in my care. I may add tha t I went back to Walendow, where I was Class Mistress o f the reformatory prisoners... A fter two mon ths’ fam iliarity w ith S is ter Faustina I fe lt as cheered up as i f I had made a successful retreat." (Archives of S.F., Recoil. S ister B.). As we can thu s see, S is te r F au s t in a made in tim a te and friendly links with th e s is te rs w ithou t regard for which choir they belonged to, and more th an one remembered h e r with feelings of w arm th . They p a r ­ ticularly appreciated th a t she unfailingly remembered them in h e r prayers, whenever th e re was u rg en t need. S is te r F.P. gives th is account: "Often S ister Faustina asked me to pray w ith her for some sister who in her opinion needed prayer and 423
