From the recollections of many i t is plain th a t in certain circumstances she was the support of more th an one of them , which is also confirmed by the account of the S isters’ perm anen t confessor in Vilnius, Fr. Sopocko: "I know tha t her co-sisters even o f the firs t choir often turned to her for advice in spiritual matters and always received a sensible answer. I also know... that sisters turned to her in various pa in fu l matters, when sad and in need o f advice and comfort, and that they always received such comfort.” (Archives of S.F., Recollections). I shall here include more fully the account of S ister Bozena, because she knew S ister F au s tina well from having worked with h e r a t Plock and had a lot to say. She valued S ister F au s tina very highly: "Sister Faustina devotedly performed the tasks she was set, and I always considered her to be one o f the best nuns. She was very pious, recollected, united with Jesus, and at the same time she was natural, simple and sensible. In relation to those around her she was tactful and kind. She was always most respectful to her superiors. She kept the Rule fa ith fu lly and scrupulously...” S is ter Bozena then describes th e pa rticu la r fea tures of h e r piety: "Sister Faustina had a great devotion to the Blessed Sacrament... she worshipped the Sacred Heart o f Jesus, being particularly stirred on the firs t Fridays o f the months which are consecrated to tha t devotion... 420
