Sister Faustina Kowalska: Her LIfe and MIssion

The conversation with F a th e r Sopocko was one of the m ilestones in th e life of S is te r F au s tin a which I have mentioned. I t ended more th an th ree yea rs of las ting conflict between fidelity to the religious vows she had already made, and th e necessity of b reak ing them if she wished to found a new Congregation. This conver sation showed S is te r F au s t in a the fau lt she had committed up to now: in s tead of being im pa tien t, she should have prayed, wa iting peacefully for th e final crystallization of th e will of God. U nders tand ing of her fau l t led h e r to make a decision: almost directly after F a th e r Sopocko had left, she made - not for th e f irs t time in h e r life - an ac t of complete oblation to th e will of God. "Jesus-dCost, zvhen I have this very moment received into my heart, through this union zvith y o u I offer myseCf to the heavenCy ‘fa th e r as a sacrificiaC host, abandoning myseCf totaCCy and compCeteCy to the most mercifuC and hoCy zviCCo f my Qod. from today onzvard, f o u r zviCC, Lord, is my food, fa k e my zvhoCe being-, dispose o f me as you pCease. ‘Whatever yo u r fatherCy hand gives me, I zviCCaccept zvith submission, peace and joy .
