Well, then, Sister Faustina, on several occasions, was hon- ored with a vision of the Blessed Virgin. We shall mention here only the vision of March 25, 1936. It exhibits much of the great importance of our Lady’s apparitions at La Salette, Lourdes, and lately in Fatima, 23 and, it would seem, even surpasses them in this respect. Indeed, besides the importance, it can be said that the vision is pervaded with a certain gravity. On that particular day of Our Lady’s Annunciation, an especially deep feeling of the presence of God swept over Sister Faustina during her morning meditation. She saw the infinite greatness of God and at the same time His inexpressible condescension towards creatures in the Mystery of the Incarnation, which came to pass precisely on the day of the Annunciation. Then Our Blessed Mother appeared to her. First of all, She expressed Her praise for souls who faithfully follow the inspirations of divine grace. Then She addressed to Sister Faustina words, which, on the one hand, convey exceeding honor for her, while, on the other hand, they show forth the unparalleled importance of the devotion to The Divine Mercy on the present age. Let us give our attention to what Our Lady said further to the one whom Her Son chose for an apostle of The Divine Mercy: I gave the Savior to the world; as for you, you have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him, who will come, not as a merciful Savior, but as a just Judge. Oh how terrible is that day! Determined is the Day of Justice, the day of divine wrath. The Angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still the time for [granting] mercy. If you keep silent now, you will be answering for a great number of souls on that terrible day. Fear nothing.
