Pillars of Fire In My Soul

efit of those who were experiencing great sufferings while in their last agony. Let us, too, become convinced of its efficacy. Novena to The Divine Mercy Entering somewhat yet more deeply into the devotion to this same Divine Mercy is the Novena to The Divine Mercy . It is to be joined by a more intimate bond to the Feast of The Divine Mercy itself, for Sister Faustina entitled its entry in her Diary thus: A Novena to The Divine Mercy which Jesus instructed me to write down and to make before the Feast of Mercy. It begins on Good Friday (Diary, 1209). Our Lord also gave her instructions about what she was to do on each day of this Novena. These activities are worthy of the Most Merciful Heart of The Savior and extremely beneficial to us: 1) I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fount of My mercy, that they may draw therefrom strength and refreshment, and whatever graces they have need of in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death. 2) On each day you will bring to My Heart a different group of souls and you will immerse them in this ocean of My mercy ... You will do this in this life and in the next ... 3) On each day you will beg My Father, on the strength of My bitter Passion, for graces for these souls (Diary, 1209). Let us take note of the words: You will do this ... in the next life. It becomes evident from them that Jesus wants to make of Sister Faustina an intercessor with The Divine Mercy not only in this life, but also in eternity. He also promised that her intercession will have extraordinary efficacy. 50 Pillars of Fire in My Soul
