Founded in Poland in 1670 by St. Stanislaus Papczyński, the Marians were the first Catholic men’s order to give witness to Mary’s Immaculate Conception by bearing this title. The Marians’ Founder was canonized on June 5, 2016. The Marian charism is three-fold: to spread devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Immaculate Conception that others may come to know her as the powerful intercessor she is; to pray for the souls in Purgatory, especially those who have no one else to pray for them; and to assist parish priests where the need is greatest.
