Live the call! Nancy Reina, Marian Helper: A near-fatal accident during Holy Week one year led me to spend three months in a wheelchair, praying the Rosary and Chaplet and repeating, “Jesus, I trust in You.” When I recovered, I began visiting the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy. Now as a Marian Helper, I volunteer and see first-hand the amazing work done by the Marian priests, brothers, and seminarians. Having met the exceptional group of young men in formation, I am so grateful to be able to offer my support in their vocational journey. Brother Ruben Veloz, MIC: Through much prayer and discernment, and the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, I was drawn to the Marians because of their charism and devotions. I felt a deeper calling during a Marian “Come and See” retreat. I went to Eucharistic Adoration and venerated the relic of our founder, St. Stanislaus Papczynski. I remember praying to St. Stanislaus, saying it would be an honor for me to be a Marian, if it was God’s will. I applied and was accepted — and, years later, on Aug. 13, 2022, I professed my perpetual vows. Thanks be to God! Write: Fr.
