Lord, hear my prayer. R. And let my cry come to you. V. The Lord be with you. R. And with your spirit. Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, who in the most holy womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit, willed to put on the garment of our mortality, and in bitter agony to be clothed in purple and to be crowned with a crown of thorns for the salvation of humankind, we humbly implore the immeasurable abundance of Your grace, that, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, You will bless this white habit ✠ and sanctify it ✠ so that he who will wear it in honor of the Immaculate Conception of the same Virgin may receive an abundance of heavenly grace and the fullness of Your blessing, and supported by them, in all his life faithfully serve God his Creator. Who lives and reigns with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. V. Amen. May the Most Holy and Most Glorious Trinity, the Father ✠ and the Son ✠ and the Holy Spirit ✠ bless this habit so that he who (or: those who) will devoutly wear it in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, conceived without original stain, shall not be delivered to the fires of hell, and shall be freed from all evils of soul and body, by the Immaculate Conception of the same Virgin Mary and by the most bitter Passion of her beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
