Prawdziwa unitas in varietate, unitas marianorum, którą przeżywamy jako wielki dar, ale i zadanie. W tym duchu Kapituła uchwaliła - obok szeregu dekretów i zaleceń, które nowy Zarząd Generalny wkrótce poda do wiadomości wszystkich marianów - "Odezwę w sprawie mariańskiego uniwersalizmu". Brzmi ona nastąpująco: "Kapituła Generalna zwraca się do wszystkich Przełożonych i Moderatorów formacji, ażeby zgodnie z duchem Kościoła Powszechnego oraz Błogosławionego Jerzego, naszego Odnowiciela czuwali nad wychowaniem współbraci do uszanowania każdego narodu, jego języka i kultury, i do postawy ponadpartyjnej w społeczeństwie, a także starali się rozładowywać powstające na tym tle napięcia. W myśl przepisów Konstytucji nn. 10,111,113 przypominamy, iż zasada ponadpar- tyjności i uniwersalizmu powinna cechować wszystkich Marianów, szczególnie pracujących w duszpasterstwie". To doświadczenie mariańskiej jedności płynie nade wszystko z charyzmatu, jakim nas Bóg obdarzył; charyzmatu, o którym mowa była już na Konwencie Generalnym w Fatimie w 1990 roku, a który powinniśmy przyjąć jako bezcenny skarb, starać się Though our experiences, culture, languages and history differ, these differences do not separate us from one another. Rather, they enable us to discover a deep communion of faith in order to serve Christ and the Church under the guidance and image of the Immaculate Mary and to sincerely love our Congregation. The true ot "unitas in varietate, unitas marianorum", that we experience as a great gift, but also a challenge. In this spirit the Chapter approved among several decrees and recommendations, soon to be released to all Marians by the new General Administration, an appeal regarding Marian universalism. It goes as follows: "The General Chapter appeals to all superiors and formation moderators that, in accord with the spirit of tire universal Church and Blessed George, our Renovator, they would keep watch over the formation of the members seeing to it that they respect each nation, language and culture and develop a nonpartisan attitude in society. They should also try to relieve the tensions which arise in this respect. According to the laws of our Constitution (C. 10, 111, 113), we are reminded that a principle of nonpartisanship and universality should characterize all Marians, especially those in pastoral ministry". This experience of Marian unity derives, above all, from the charism that God gave us. As was stated at the General Convention in Fatima in 1990, we are to accept this charism as a priceless treasure, that we should
