Servant of Mary new file

Marians were bound at that time. Therefore, he combined the chapters of this book written by the Spanish Jesuit into ten separate “treatises,” each being dedicated to a dif- ferent virtue. In this manner the following virtues are discussed: chastity, prudence, humility, faith, devotion, obedience, poverty, patience, charity, and the sorrows of the Most Holy Virgin Mary. Such an outline for this book, prepared for print by Father Wyszy<ski, seems to be a continuation of the thought of the Founder of the Marians. Father Papczy<ski wrote a work “Templum Dei Mysticum” ]The Mystical Temple of God\ which contains the principles of life to be followed by any Christian who truly wants to be a temple of God. Virtues are the orna- ments of this temple. Father Wyszy<ski discussed in greater detail their par- ticipation in the spiritual development of man. He also emphasized that, because of these virtues, Mary has a share in the work of the redemption of the world. He wrote : When we recall the virtues with which the Virgin Mary crushed the head of the dragon from Hell, we fill all of Hell with fear. By imitating and practicing these virtues, the faithful cannot stray from the path to salvation for they receive deliverance and help from their Lady. Evidently, even in Father Wyszy<ski’s times there were many who opposed devotion to Mary, referring to the duty The Propogator of Devotion to Mary 68
