It should be emphasized that as Casimir was preparing himself for the priesthood, he was also engaged in helping other members of the order to pursue their own necessary education by fulfilling his duties as Instructor of Philosophy. Soon after his ordination, he was charged with the duties of Instructor of Theology as well as those of Novice Master, which up to that point had been fulfilled by the Reformati fathers. It was noticed that the young religious priest was endowed with great spiritual and intel- lectual attributes, and so it was decided that they should be utilized for the good of the Order. During the General Chapter of June 17, 1728, Father Casimir was made Vice-Superior of the Korabiew Forest monastery and the Novice Master. He fulfilled this duty probably until the end of 1730. However, his great zeal and the offices he held in the community were not to everyone’s liking. In particular, those who found them- selves outside the monastery during “the Rostk[w Dispersion” and were then later forced to return, reluctant- ly accepted the hard style of the religious life. Through his brother Michael, Father Casimir obtained a summons to Rome where he went as Procurator of the Order along with Father Dionisius Kisieli<ski and Brother Jacek Wasilewski. He arrived in Rome at the beginning of 1731 and took up his residence at the Franciscan monastery “Ara Coeli.” He began efforts to establish a permanent Marian house in the Eternal City.
