† Album of the Deceased Fathers and Brothers † 160 priest in the last years of his life. He is buried in the Marian Fathers' section of St. Casimir Cemetery in Chicago. November 19 On November 19, 1966, Father CASIMIR ŚLIWA (Sh’lee-va), a member of the Polish Province, died of cancer at the age of 42 at the house in Warsaw-Bielany. He was a religious for 23 years and a priest for nine. Because of his activity as a youth catechist, he was harassed many times by the Communists. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ section of Wawrzyszew Cemetery in Warsaw. In 1994, Father CASIMIR ŚLIWIŃSKI (Shlee-veen’-ski), a member of the Polish Province, died unexpectedly on the threshold of his 49th year of life in Warsaw. He was a religious for 28 years and a priest for 23. He was engaged in pastoral ministry at various parishes, greatly appreciated for his catechetical instruction. Beginning in 1976, he ministered in Warsaw at our parishes in Marymont, Stegny, and eventually Praga, where due to his unfailing efforts, the construction of a new church was brought to completion in 1992. During the last 5 years of his life, he was Professor of catechetics at our Seminary in Lublin. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ section of Wawrzyszew Cemetery in Warsaw. In 2021, Father LEONARD TKACHUK (T-ka-hook), a member of the Ukrainian Vicariate, died in a hospital in Vinnytsia (Veen-it-sya), Ukraine. He was 63 years old, a religious for 40 years and a priest for 37. He worked first in Chernivtsi (Chair-niv-tsee), where he restored and renovated a church that had been confiscated by the communists. He then served for 12 years in Sevastopol (Seh-vas-to-pol), Crimea and another 10 years in Kharkiv (Harkeev). For the last three years of his life he worked again in Sevastopol. He is buried in Chernivtsi. November 21 On November 21, 1941, Brother STANISLAUS SAROSIEK (Sare-oshyek) died at the age of 72 at the house in Rasna, Belarus. He was a member of the Polish Province for 20 years. When he joined our Congregation, he brought many beehives with him and worked as a beekeeper with great zeal and joy. He also attended to the sick with a merciful heart. He was animated with an apostolic zeal and was an ardent promoter of vocations. He is buried in Rasna.
