J u ly J uly 1 On July 1, 1792, Father GILES SIKORSKI died at the age of 60 at the Góra Kalwaria monastery. After celebrating Mass at the local parish church, he returned to the monastery for dinner and unexpectedly gave up “his spirit to his Savior” dur- ing the reading of the Scriptures. He is buried in Góra Kalwaria. In 1973, Father JUSTIN NOVICKAS , a member of the Lithuanian Province, died at the age of 88 at the house in Marijampolė. He was a priest for 64 years and a religious for 61. He made his novitiate in Fribourg, Switzerland. Upon his return to Lithuania, he was the novice master for many years. He likewise fulfilled the duties of superior, pastor, and director of the National Center of the “Saint Joseph’s Pious Union of Happy Death.” After the suppression of religious houses by the Communists, he worked in Vilnius for many years. He is buried in Marijampolė. In 2015, Father STANISLAUS KRYSZTOPA suffered a fatal car accident while driving. He was 52 years old, a religious for 29 years and a priest for 23. He served as a catechist, assistant in pastoral work, and vicar at various Polish parishes. He was also the local superior and treasurer of our religious house in Elbląg, as well as the diocesan referent for the male religious orders in the Diocese of Elbląg. He will be remembered as a quiet, humble, and diligent confrere. He is buried in Lublin. J uly 2 On July 2, 1930, FatherVINCENTGRAŠIS , superior of the house, died at the age of 60, at the house in Ukmergė, in Lithuania. He was a priest for 35 years and a religious for 4. For 33 years, he dedicated himself to the active pastoral apostolate in the vast territory of Russia. His pastoral activity brought him much suffering, including imprisonment by the Communists. He is buried in Marijampolė. J uly 3 On July 3, 1811, Father FELICIAN JAKUBOWSKI (Ya-koo-bof-ski), vice- president of the monastery, died at the age of 58 at the monastery in Raśna. In 1979, Father VALENTINE ATKOČIUS , a member of the American Province of St. Casimir, died of a heart attack at the age of 60 at the Marian house in Marianapolis, Connecticut. He was a religious for 39 years and a priest for 34. He received his licentiate in Sacred Scripture at Rome. He fulfilled the offices of
