J une 6 On June 6, 1771, Father GABRIEL BORKOWSKI died at the monastery in Puszcza Korabiewska, where he is buried. In 1951, Father JOSEPH ŁUNIEWSKI died at the age of 64 at the house on Eden Hill, in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. He was a priest for 41 years and a reli- gious for 25. He was one of the founders of theAmerican Province of St. Stanislaus Kostka and became its first provincial superior upon the canonical installation of the Province in 1948. He came to the U.S. from Łomża, Poland, as a diocesan priest in 1920. While a student in the School of Canon Law at the Catholic University in Washington, D.C., he met Fr. Richard Bakalarczyk, and after meeting with Blessed George in 1926, he decided to join our Congregation. He contributed greatly to the growth of the Province and the promotion of the apostolate of Divine Mercy. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ cemetery on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. In 1990, Brother CASIMIR MICHALUK (Mee-khal’uk) suddenly died at the house in Sulejówek, while praying in the house chapel. He was 85 years old, a member of the Polish Province, and a religious for almost 66 years. He frequently spoke with great love and reverence about our Father Renovator, fromwhom he had received the sacrament of confirmation. A profoundly virtuous man, he served for many years as a sacristan in various houses of the Province. Animated with great devotion for our holy Father Founder, he diligently cared throughout 20 years for the grounds surrounding the Church of Our Lord’s Cenacle at Marianki. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ section of the Wawrzyszew cemetery in Warsaw. J une 7 On June 7, 1778, the Subdeacon BENJAMIN FRISZEK (Free-shek), a Czech by birth, died at the age of 23 at the monastery in Góra Kalwaria. He is buried in Miroslavas. In 1805, Father BONAVENTURE CZYSZKOWSKI (Chish-kofski) died at the age of 90 at the monastery in Raśna, where he is buried. In 1939, Brother STANISLAUS MARCISZEWSKI (Mar-chee-shef-ski), a member of the Polish Province, died at the house in Raśna, at the age of 49. He was a religious for 13 years. He served the community as a gardener and sacristan and was known for his religious fervor and fraternal charity. He is buried in Raśna. J une 9 On June 9, 1967, Bishop FRANCIS BRAZYS died unexpectedly at the age of 52 during morning meditation in the chapel of our Roman house.
