D ECEMBER Congregation. Thanks to his efforts, the monastery in Viļāni, which once belonged to the Bernardine Fathers, was reconstructed to serve as the first Marian house in Latvia. He was its superior for many years. He was also a general councilor for a period of six years. He distinguished himself by his humility, affability and charity. He is buried in Viļāni. In 1975, Father WILLIAM FOGARTY died of cancer at the age of 41 in a hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. A member of the American Province of St. Casimir, he was a religious for 21 years and a priest for 12. He completed his studies and was ordained in Rome. He was assistant novice master and teacher at the Marianapolis Preparatory School. He took a lively part in the polemics regarding the charism of our Institute, that is, what it owes to Father Founder and what to Father Renovator. At the request of his family, he is buried in the cemetery in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. D eCember 11 On December 11, 1763, Brother JOHN of MONTE PELICIANO died at the monastery in Balsamão, Portugal, where he is buried. In 1982, Father FELIX ŻURNIA (Zhoor-nia) died of a heart attack at the age of 69 at the Belarusian house in London. He was a religious for 50 years and a priest for 40. He was originally a member of the autonomous house in Druya, but after his ordination to the priesthood at Warsaw, he labored in the Polish Province. Aman of exemplary religious observance, humble and pious, he was novice master, and then a chaplain in the Institute for the Incurable and Aged at Góra Kalwaria. During the last 15 years of his life he resided in London and dedicated himself to the spiritual care of the Belarusians in Great Britain. He is buried in St. Pancratius’ cemetery in London. In 1985, Father ANDREW NAUDŽIUNAS , a member of the American Province of St. Casimir, died at the age of 70 at the house in Chicago. He was a reli- gious for 52 years and a priest for 45. For many years he labored in the publishing center of Draugas . He also fulfilled the duties of treasurer, pastor and local superior. He was the provincial secretary for the last 10 years of his life. He is buried in the section reserved for the Marians in St. Casimir’s cemetery in Chicago. In 2020, Father JONAS MALINAUSKAS , a member of the General Vicariate in Lithuania, died at the age of 92. He was a religious for 61 years and a priest for 46. He ministered in various Lithuanian parishes. He was known as a devout and humble religious, serving others with great dedication. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ cemetery in Marijampolė. 151
