He was a priest for 33 years and a religious for 23. He made his novitiate at Fribourg, Switzerland, and was sent to the United States in 1915, where he was superior, novice master and Rector of the Seminary in Marian Hills. Upon the death of the provincial superior, Fr. Kudyrka, he fulfilled the duties of that office. He is buried in the section reserved for the Marians in St. Casimir’s cemetery in Chicago. In 1966, Father JOSEPH DASZUTA (Da-shoo-ta), a member of the Polish Province, died at the age of 75 inWłocławek, where he was confessor of our clerics. He was a priest for 48 years and a religious for 40. Originally a member of the autonomous house in Druya, from which he was forcibly removed by the civil authority in 1938 along with other Belarusians, he worked in various houses of the Polish Province. He earned great recognition for his humility and poverty. He is buried in the Marian Fathers’ section of the Wawrzyszew cemetery in Warsaw. In 1979, Father STANISLAUS SZYBIŃSKI (Shi-bin'-ski), a member of the Polish Province, died at the house in Skórzec, at the age of 66. He was a religious for 50 years and a priest for 35. He zealously fulfilled his pastoral duties in various parishes of the Province. He is buried in Skórzec. In 2015, Brother CHARLES FREDERICK WELLS, JR ., fortified by the Sacraments of the Church, peacefully breathed his last. He was 88 years old, having spent 58 as a religious. He worked as the head accountant at the Marian Helpers Center, a duty that he fulfilled diligently for over 24 years. He was musically talent- ed and served as an organist. In addition, he fulfilled the duties of provincial coun- cilor, local superior, assistant novice master, and a local treasurer. He is buried in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. s ePtember 10 On September 10, 2019, Brother JEANMPETONGESSOLA died in Rwan- da at the age of 25. He was born on December 24, 1993, in Cameroon. In 2019, he finished his postulancy in Nyakinama, Rwanda, and on July 6, 2019, he began his novitiate. Unfortunately, illness attacked him soon after, and he went to the hospital in Ruhengeri. From there he was transferred to the hospital in Kigali. In danger of death, he was admitted to his first profession of vows, which he made onAugust 14, 2019.
