She would give the example, tha t it was possible to k i l l someone with even one heavy blow, but tha t it could also be very pa in fu l to be constantly stuck w ith pins. "She would also encourage frequent reception o f Holy Communion, and she sa id tha t it would give her the greatest happiness i f the girls went da ily to Holy Communion. When the firs t Friday o f the monih came near, she would prepare us for confession and Com­ munion. "Whenever there was all-day adoration, for instance du r ing the Forty Hours devotion, she would say to us: "Dear children, we cannot always be in the chapel, but try to pop in singly for a quick visit, bow to Jesus and say some ejaculation, such as: "Jesus, I trust in You. I love You, Jesus."" Being with S is te r F au s t in a for a few hours every day, th e girls h ad the opportunity to observe h e r closely. She was unable to hide from them completely the secrets of h e r h ea r t . The ir eyes were too keen. They would see h e r pray ing in the chapel and outside it, lying in the shape of th e cross somewhere in a solitary corner. Even a t work h e r hand was entw ined in rosary beads, and she could weed w ith one h and while the o ther passed the beads through in prayer. "We saw how she would return sm iling from the Lord ’s Table... In the chapel she always kne lt in concentration, often h id ing her face in her hands, so as not to see wha t was going on around her...
