S is te r F au s tin a ’s love of God could b e s t be seen by h e r avoidance of every th ing which could displease God. She did no t underes tim a te even trifling imperfections. She often said th a t th is or th a t "displeases Jesus". S ister Crescentia recalled two small incidents from th e ir la te r life in the convent, which show S is ter F au s t in a in a genuine light. I t is worth mentioning them here. The f irs t happened in Warsaw . One day du ring tea, S is te r F au s t in a confided: ""Sister, do you know w ha t? I have prom ised Jesus tha t I sha ll refuse H im nothing, tha t I sha ll do whatever He asks o f me." I was not surprised. I t seemed to me tha t tha t is how it shou ld be, but S ister Faustina sa id it w ith emotion and very seriously. I was convinced she would keep her promise." Here i t was no t w ha t she said, b u t th e way she said it, concerning th e promise m ade to Je su s , th a t h ad held th e a tten tion of S is te r Crescentia. The impression m u s t have been strong, since she h ad recalled i t a fte r so many years. The second incident occurred when th e two sisters were both in Vilnius: "One day S ister Faustina ran to us in the bakery and sa id tha t some sisters had quarrelled, offending Jesus, and tha t reparation m u s t be offered to Him. She suggested that we shou ld go to the chapel for a short prayer to apologise to Jesus for those sisters. Two other sisters came w ith us." (Archives of S.F., Recoil.).
