Divine Mercy: The Heart of the Gospel
'My name is sacrifice” : The Mission of Blessed Faustina 111 at first glance, might seem “cheap grace,” a pious bromide, a blanket of Mercy just dropped on the world. It is not: bought at the price o f the blood o f God’s only begotten Son, it is ratified by the hellish sufferings of those mystically united with that Son in love of the world, for the sal vation of the world. And, for an age which seeks escape from suffering at all costs and which finds the notion of sacrifice barbarous, this soul capable of such radiant joy shows the way in which love becomes incar nate from age to age. Mercy is bought at a price: her name is sacrifice.
