Ihad been writing to Sr. Anna Ali in Kenya nearly 30 years ago, when Bishop Korir and Sr. Ali invited me to come and speak in the diocese of Eldoret. I went to Kenya in 2003. It was a great trip and I spoke at several venues on the Eucharist and Divine Mercy and Our Lady. Sister Anna was a quiet and humble nun who was reportedly receiving visions of Our Lord in the late 1980’s. The messages, called “Divine Appeals,” urged intense prayer, penance, and conversion for a world facing great spiritual darkness. The messages spoke of corruption and impending divine justice, and emphasized Adoration of the Eucharist, atonement for sins, and preparation for severe trials. There were calls for urgent repentance to avoid chastisement, and mercy promised for those who turn back to Him. Sister Anna would reportedly weep tears of blood every Thursday that lasted for many years up to her death in 2012. This began after she had visions of Christ with tears of blood in 1998, leading her to become a “victim soul” for humanity’s conversion. I want to share a personal story about Sister. She wanted me to meet her mother who lived over an hour away. As she had no way to communicate with her mother, her mother was surprised when I showed up and had no customary gift to give me. So she gave me a live chicken! It rode on my lap to the Bishop’s house and I gave it to the Bishop. I brought Images and our cenacle books and other materials to Kenya, and Sister gave me many mementos of Kenya which I still have today. My Trip to Kenya to Meet Sister Anna Ali By Bryan Thatcher, MD Note: I share this story of reported private revelations from Kenya, Africa. Years ago, the late Bishop Cornelius Korir of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret, Kenya, provided ecclesiastical approval for the visions and messages of Sr. Anna Ali. However, they have not been approved yet by the Vatican and await the Church’s future discernment. This article typifies some of the amazing people that I have met while spreading the message of mercy. I met Sr. Anna Ali’s mom in 2003. Her mother was surprised when I showed up and had no customary gift to give me. So she gave me a live chicken! It rode on my lap to the Bishop’s house and I gave it to the Bishop. Sister Anna Ali
