At the same time, the Chapter recalls other events, which are important for the founding and the renovation of the Congregation: a. september 15, 1671, in the chapel of the Karski in Lubocza, Fr. Papczyński put on the white habit to honor the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. b.On october 24, 1673 , Bishop Stanislaus Jacek Święcicki approved the first house of the Congregation in the Korabiew Forest. c. On april 21, 1679 , Bishop Stefan Wierzbowski of Poznan erected the Marian Order with simple vows of diocesan right. d. On november 24, 1699 , a rescript of the Holy See was issued, approving the Marians as an Order of pontifical right with solemn vows. e. On august 29, 1909 , Bl. George Matulaitis-Matulewicz professed his first vows, which is considered as the date of the Renovation of the Congregation. explanation of the Declaration : 1. e determination of the date of the beginning of a religious com- munity is not subjected to legal regulations. It is rather a question of the tradition of the particular institute and its discretion regarding the event defining the inception of the institute, with which this religious community most identifies itself (a public declaration by the Founder or his vows, putting on the habit, the creation of a community, the episcopal or papal approval among other things). 2. Father Stanislaus Papczyński received an indult releasing him from vows and membership in the Order of Poor Clerics Regular of the Mother of God of the Pious Schools (the Piarists) in the Piarist Residence in Krakow-Kazimierz, on December 11, 1670. e event took place before the Vice-Provincial of the Piarists, Fr. Michael Kraus and two Piarists brothers: Casimir and Bernard. ln this way, he was transferred to the status of a diocesan priest. 3. Immediately after being released from his affiliation with the Piarists, St. Stanislaus professed the Oblatio in front of these three persons, in accordance with the vision emanated in his heart by the Holy Spirit.
