Looking toward the 50-year anni- versary in 1967 of the 1917 Marian apparitions in Fatima, Portugal, our magazine predecessors urged Marian Helpers to follow Our Lady of Fatima’s call to pray the Rosary daily for peace. (They took a slightly different approach to convey the critical nature of the situation — an artist’s rendering of a mush- room cloud over New York City, with the United Nations in the foreground.)
