In 1910, Blessed George Matulaitis (1871-1927), Renovator of our Marian Congregation, issued a clarion call to evangelization: “Animated by the Spirit of Christ, we must try to gather together and organize people of good will — to train and prepare them to work, and then, together with them and through them . . . to win all for Christ, to attract all to Christ.” The saying goes, “Nothing succeeds like success.” Blessed George could have never anticipated how successful we have become at “winning all for Christ,” especially over the airwaves through our video production, livestreams, and podcasts. And now we need your help to take this to the next level, with an urgent appeal to construct a new and larger video studio on Eden Hill. Reaching millions First, let’s look at the numbers. Since we started during the pandemic, more than 100 million people have viewed the daily livestreams on Facebook, YouTube, and our websites from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy: Mass, the Rosary, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Amazing! Then there’s “Explaining the Faith,” the popular Saturday talks by our Provincial Superior, the Very Rev. Chris Alar, MIC. Some of his talks have racked up 2 million views on YouTube! Our video production department has expanded its offerings by leaps and bounds.
