The multi-generational Huvahiv Family, FilipinoAmericans from Queens, New York, proclaimed together, “Jesus is our Rock!” Father Chris visits with Mary and Janet from Ottawa, Canada, first-time visitors to the National Shrine. Mary is originally from Uganda, and Janet from Rwanda. First-timers Yolanda and Jerry Garcia traveled from San Fernando, California. “There’s a lot here — you feel it in your heart just coming up the hill, and once you get here, your eyes just open up,” Yolanda said.
