From the VAULTS 36 Marian Helper • Summer 2022 • Marian.org Sixty-one years ago, fundraising took creative forms, as this solicitation from the Marian Helpers Bulletin of January-March 1961 illustrates. It is uncertain how many Marian Helpers took up the idea of a home piggy bank — nor how many teens gave up their cigarettes (smoking was big back then) and vinyl records (now making a comeback!). But the Marian Scholasticate in Washington, DC, was indeed built — dedicated on April 26, 1962 — and is in use today, forming the next generation of Marian priests.
