Graces Received Son gets a better job Our son was in a predicament at his current job. Work was not being directed his way in the office. He knew he needed to get out, and he was stressing out. My husband and I prayed to Bl. George, who we learned about from the articles in Marian Helper. Then one day our son had lunch with a friend who set up a quick interview with his bosses. They weren’t even looking to hire anyone at this time. After the interview, company officials quickly assembled the rest of the staff and made our son an offer within days! Prayers were answered! I shared this prayer to Bl. George with family members. — M.B.F. Buffalo, New York My thanksgiving is threefold My thanksgiving to Bl. George is threefold. My daughter, grandson, and granddaughter all have been helped by his intercessions. When my daughter suffered a stroke two years ago, I prayed to Bl. George that she would not be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life. My prayers were answered. She has been walking with a walking stick for quite a while now and has little use for her wheelchair. I am so grateful for that. My grandson and granddaughter were both having difficulties finding employment. The pandemic didn’t help their search. I prayed to Bl. George to intercede for them in finding a job. They are both now employed and doing very well at their new jobs. I thank Bl. George for interceding for them. I continue to pray to Bl. George in thanksgiving for the graces received! — L.M.P., email Avoided a check scam I've prayed for Bl. George to watch over me concerning fraud and scam issues for years. I am old and at the age where fraud and scams are directed at me. Recently, I had a check washed and payment directed to a criminal source! [A washed check has been stolen and treated with chemicals to remove the ink and change the amount or payee. The check is then rewritten and deposited to steal money from the victim’s account.] I have to believe it was by Bl. George’s intercession that I checked my account so soon and for once opened the details to see that the check had been changed! It was the very next day that the check had come through my bank. I just don't check my account very often and I almost never open the details as I did on this one. My bank worked immediately and though it took a week, they too are amazing — they succeeded in getting my money back! I’m not certain if you consider this a miracle, but I tell all my friends that, for me, it was a miracle by Bl.
