Healing comes when Jesus reveals to you where He was during those moments.” Matt married his wife, Erin, in 2011. He has since founded Warrior’s Redemption, an online self-development course for veterans, first-responders, and their spouses. He also co-founded Metanoia Catholic, which helps clients develop interior lives of faith and to develop their true life mission. For years, Matt and Erin struggled with infertility. In the fall of 2017, they received news that Erin was pregnant. “I remember being in the ultrasound room, and they projected our daughter Avila’s due date. It was going to be July 20, almost 10 years to the day that I had heard they had just pulled a baby out of the rubble. Ten years to the day that they pulled this lifeless baby from the rubble, I would be receiving this new life from what had been the barren womb of my wife. I remember just beginning to cry in that moment, realizing the new depths of God’s love. The Scripture ‘Behold, I make all things new’ (Rev 21:5) comes to mind.” “Being able to confess that was so healing and empowering because it helpedme to no longer be a victim. …You have to take responsibility .... And God’s mercy is just waiting for that. That mercy transforms you.” — Matt Ingold
