Digital MH Spring 2020

Live the call! Father Matthew Lamoureux, MIC: Growing up, I had fleeting thoughts about becoming a priest. During college, my devotion to Our Lady increased. Then, I found out about the Marian Fathers. I knew that if I were going to become a priest, I would want to belong to an order devoted to Mary and faithful to the Church. I prayed and had a great sense of peace when I thought of myself joining the Marians. I knew this was the path for me. I was ordained on June 25, 2005, and my current assignment is serving as pastor at St. Patrick Parish in Yorkville, Illinois, where we love Our Lady! Marian Helper Rick Plachetka: I began attending St. Patrick Parish after moving to Yorkville, Illinois, in 1984. It is there where I discovered the Marians’ strong devotion to our Mother Mary. I realized the need to get our Mother involved in everything we do as a parish. After experiencing this, I also felt called to increase my support of good priests who are her spokesmen against evil. The Marian Fathers turn to Mary as our primary intercessor to Jesus. They also promote the Rosary, which I now say every day. I received one from the Marians a long time ago, and I still carry it in my pocket. Write: Fr.
