This message still rings true 50 years later: The innocence, sincerity, and Godlikeness in the happy, smiling face of a child is always a captivating experience. No man can resist the ringing laughter of a child’s voice. One is forced to smile, chuckle or burst forth with thunderous laughter when even the tiniest babe draws attention to its infantile but humorous gestures. Like the picture on our cover. We’ll bet your bottom nickel that for a moment or more you forgot about your troubles in this weary, war-torn world of ours when you spied this photo … and you smiled. This is our Easter gift to you in order to remind you to smile always because Christ is telling us through the mystery of His Resurrection that He loves us. “Unless you become like the little children, you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven” (Mt 18:3).
