Fall-Winter 2013-2014
by Fr. Joseph, MIC “A bsolutely. Absolutely. It’s been on my heart for a long time now.” These were the words of Deacon Chris Alar, MIC, when I asked if it’s true that he’s really going to offer his first Mass as a priest for our Marian Helpers. I’d heard that this was his intention, but it took me by surprise. I mean, the “first Mass” is a huge honor, usually offered for parents and family, and I wanted to make sure that what I’d heard was really true. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised. After all, praying for the Marian Helpers is what we do. It’s one of the great joys we have as Marians, and it’s one of the best ways we pay our debt of gratitude to you, our extended Marian family. Even though we express our thanks through daily Masses, sacrifices, and prayers, sometimes it’s good to put our appreciation into words. By this article, we, the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, would like to say a special thank you and show you some of the many ways your generosity is bearing fruit for Christ and the Church.
