53 Indulgences Attached to the Scapular of the Immaculate Conception of the Most B.V.M. and the Marian Fathers’ Confraternity Those who wear the Scapular of the Immaculate Conception can receive a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions* on the following days: • The day of investiture with the Scapular of the Immaculate Conception; • The solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Most B.V.M. (December 8); • The feast of Presentation of the Lord (February 2); • The solemnity of the Assumption of the Most B.V.M. (August 15); • Christmas Day (December 25); • Easter Sunday; • The solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord; • The liturgical commemoration of St. Stanislaus Papczyński, Founder of the Marians (May 18); • The liturgical commemoration of St. Cajetan, Founder of the Theatine Order (August 7). * To gain a plenary indulgence one must: • be in the state of grace and free from all attachment to sin, even venial sin; • have a general intention to gain the indulgence; • perform acts to obtain the indulgence; • receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist; • pray for the intentions of the Holy Father.
