The purpose of Father Wyszy<ski’s literary activity was not only to promote the order of the Marians but also to instill proper Christian attitudes in our country. We have already mentioned the book which he published in Rome about St. Ignatius of Antioch, a steadfast believer and martyr from the beginning of the second century of Christianity. Father Casimir’s notes about the mystery of the Immaculate Conception, the priesthood, the religious life, the Word of God, and other truths of the faith, which are now in the Archives of the Sacred Congregation of Rites, were probably materials for an ascetic book. Father Wyszy<ski came to love in a particular way the Immaculate Virgin Mary. When he joined the Order of Marians, he made efforts to bring about the growth of this Order for the greater glory of the Mother of God. He encouraged others to imitate Her virtues. To this end, he propagated information about the Marians and their rule of life. To this end, too, he published a book titled “Morning Star Rising Anew on the Polish Horizon” in 1749 in Warsaw. Father Wyszy<ski mentions the fact that he had done a translation from Latin of a book by Francis Arias “De imi- tatione Mariae Virginis.” But when the original text, which he edited in Rome in the years 1731 to 1733, is compared to the text in translation, it is possible to per- ceive considerable differences.
