guage, and traditions. During the years 1786 to 1790, after the Marians had been released from supervision by the Reformati, separate novitiates were officially established for Poland and Lithuania. Later, Father Casimir personally went to Portugal and established a Marian monastery there. He also had plans to establish the Marians in Brazil; but this would only be realized during the second half of the 20th century. Attracting these new and valuable vocations to the con- gregation turned the attention of the Polish society to the Marians and to the person of Father Wyszy<ski. In the beatification process of the Servant of God, Father Taudt stated : The congregation grew to such a degree that the Polish magnates admired such a numerous host of the religious and congratulated Father Wyszy<ski, for it was due to his work and efforts that the Marians, until now lit- tle known, grew to such a great number in Poland. Great love for the congregation and its Founder was the basis of Father Casimir’s zeal to attract vocations. He was able to instill his love and zeal for the development of the Order into the hearts of young generations who would continue his work. During the years 1751 to 1781, the number of Marians would triple. Father Wyszy<ski took care to obtain new foundations for the Marians.
