d eCRee oF H eRoIC V IRTues A thorough examination of Father Casimir’s life andwork con- ducted by Church tribunals was crowned by a decree affirming his heroic virtue issued by the Congregation for the Saints in 1989. The contents of this decree include: an emphasis on the Marian pathway of the Servant of God in his striving for holiness; a biography of his life; the history of the process of examination of testimonies regarding his sanctity, and the final decision. Decree in the Diocese of Miranda-Bragança on the canon- ization cause of the Servant of God Casimir of St. Joseph Wyszyński, a priest and religious in the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. (1700-1755). Question: Is it quite certain that the theological virtues of faith, hope, and love for God and neighbor, as well as the cardinal virtues of tem- perance, justice, prudence, and fortitude, along with related virtues, were practiced by the person whom this cause regards?
