“Therefore, sheep of the little flock, heed my voice. This is the voice of your Shepherd speaking from the seclusion of the Marian hermitage [in Puszcza Korabiewska]. Pave the way for the Lord with your worthy deeds of spiritual life. Make straight path- ways for God by staying on the road of the vocation of which you have been found worthy. May any erro- neous and crooked deviations from the Rules and Statutes, any irregularities in upholding the religious discipline, turn into straight paths of God’s command- ments. All this is so that you may find yourselves in the pasture with your Shepherd, to which you are called by the Lamb that grazes amidst lilies.” (July 27, 1747) During his second term in the office of General Superior, Fr. Casimir demonstrated truly great com- mitment to the matters of his Order. Above all, he made sure that novices were provided with proper con- ditions for their spiritual life and in preparation for car- rying out their future duties, since he fully realized that “the entire well-being of our wretched little Order depends upon it.” Placing his trust in God, he encour- aged the brethren to fight evil and to choose the good. He pointed out the role of the Holy Spirit in nurturing fraternal love and urged everyone to follow the Immaculate Mary, Patroness of the Order.
